Developed, wrote, and co-directed the “Word Campaign,” “We’re Always on Your Side,” “Cool Over Complicated,” and “What Powers You Up?” campaigns.


WORD CAMPAIGN

I shaped the messaging around words chosen to reflect both the bank’s identity and the needs of its customers—Flexible, Reliable, Community, and Together.

When COVID-19 shifted daily life, I helped pivot the campaign to meet people where they were. I adapted the work into digital and social-first communication, focusing on accessibility, reassurance, and genuine connection. The messaging acknowledged real concerns, offered clear pathways to banking services, and reinforced that the bank remained a steady, supportive presence during uncertainty.

The result was a campaign rooted in clarity, care, and community — a message of stability when it mattered most.

WE’RE ALWAYS ON YOUR SIDE CAMPAIGN

The campaign was built around the line: “No matter which side you’re on, we’re always on yours.” I leaned into classic Chicago debates — from ketchup on hot dogs to deep-dish loyalty — to spark emotion, humor, and recognition among local audiences.

I concepted and wrote TV spots that were rooted in everyday Chicago culture, creating an immediate sense of familiarity and pride. The message was simple: even when our opinions differ, our bank stands with you.

The result was a lighthearted, community-focused campaign that reinforced trust, relatability, and the idea that West Suburban Bank is here for everyone — no matter which side they're on.

Cool Over Complicated CAMPAIGN

This campaign centered on the idea that everyday situations can feel unnecessarily stressful — and that West Suburban Bank helps simplify life instead of adding to the chaos. I concepted and wrote a series of quirky, Wes Anderson–inspired video spots that highlighted what sets the bank apart and showcased key products in a clear, approachable way.

The creative was executed across TV, digital, and social, ensuring consistent messaging and broad reach. Each spot reinforced the same core promise: West Suburban Bank keeps things simple, steady, and cool, so customers can focus on what matters most.

WHAT POWERS YOU UP CAMPAIGN

This campaign centered on the idea that banking should support the life you want — not distract from it. I created messaging that encouraged customers to focus on what matters most to them: their families, passions, businesses, pets, and daily joys. By highlighting West Suburban Bank’s mobile banking tools and home equity lines of credit, the campaign positioned the bank as a partner that makes everyday life easier and helps customers move confidently toward their goals.

The work also invited community engagement, asking: What powers you up? The response became the heart of the message — for us, it’s you.
